Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Joe June and Mae patterns.
Can't find your answer? Just get in touch — I'm always happy to help!

Foundation paper piecing (FPP) is a precise and satisfying sewing technique where you sew fabric onto a paper template, section by section. It's perfect for achieving sharp points and detailed designs that would be tricky with traditional piecing.

Each pattern comes with a numbered overview, a coloured inspiration page, a colouring page to plan your fabric choices, and brief assembly instructions. Patterns do not include a tutorial — but I have you covered! There's an extensive free tutorial on my blog including a free practice pattern, and plenty of videos and resources on my YouTube channel.

I design original foundation paper piecing (FPP) quilt block patterns, plus patterns for useful sewing projects like bags, pouches, placemats, table runners, fabric baskets, and much much more. With 600+ designs covering animals, florals, seasonal holidays, and everything in between — there's always something new to make.

All patterns are instant PDF downloads, so you can start sewing straight away.
Most of my patterns are designed for advanced beginners and up — carefully crafted to be approachable, with no unnecessary seams. If you're new to FPP, start with my extensive blog tutorial which includes a free practice pattern, and once you get the basic idea you'll be sewing these patterns in no time!

My QAL on the Bernina Blog is also an excellent resource for beginners.

All patterns are digital PDF downloads — no waiting, no shipping! Immediately after purchase you'll receive an email with your download link. If you don't see it, check your spam or promotions folder.

Please note that each link allows up to 3 downloads, so save your file somewhere safe on your computer — this is also the best way to ensure a good print quality.
Check your spam or promotions folder first — it sometimes ends up there. If you still can't find it, contact me any time and I'll get it sorted for you!
Because all patterns are instant digital downloads, they are non-refundable once purchased. If you have any trouble with your file or feel something isn't right, please contact me — I'm always happy to help.
