Placemat Sewing Pattern

Perfect for your fabric strip pile, selvage collection, or any scraps that are too pretty to throw away — this is the pattern that finally puts them to use. 🧵
Two versions included: diagonal strips and a braided design. Both are beginner friendly, both are genuinely satisfying to sew, and both will make you look at your scrap bin completely differently.

What you get:
One PDF pattern with two complete versions — diagonal strips and braided placemat. Step by step photos and instructions throughout. Finished size approximately 12" x 17.5". Instant download.
BONUS: Printable hangtags included so you can gift these straight off the sewing machine. 🩷

A few things worth knowing:
This pattern works with strips of any width, selvages, or pre-cut strips. No special tools needed. If you can sew a straight line you can make this.
The finished placemat is also large enough to use as a casserole hot pad — so it's as practical as it is beautiful.
